Default stock suspension

Hi guys: A buddy of mine just bought a 2007 Softail Standard that the previous owner had lowered with the longer bolts on the stock shocks. He would like to raise it back up to stock height, but the previous owner didn't have the stock take off bolts. Does anyone here happen to have some laying around that they'd like to get rid of?

Thanks

In most cases, the lowering bolts that are installed on the stock shocks are threaded the entire length and allow a range of adjustment both higher and lower (somewhere in the range of 2"). If this is the case with the bolts on his bike, he can easily raise it back up by loosening the flange nut in the front of the shock crossmember on both shocks, then loosening the hex nut behind the shock crossmember, and adjust them where he wants them and then tighten everything back up. It is a pretty easy adjustment. Just remember to adjust both shocks to the same length.

The adjustable type lowering bolts that I'm talking about should look similar to the picture below. If they are not fully threaded along the (thinner) shaft then they are not fully adjustable.

Thanks, I'll let him know to check that out.

Dead Creek has a good write-up. The only thing I can add is if the bolts are not fully threaded, your local machine shop can cut additional threads onto the shaft. I doesn't take much. An additional inch of threads would be all that is needed.
