Eveyone is indeed correct, even models in the same class ( softails= springers,Fatboys, heritage and Deluxe are based on the same BASIC configuration but have some variations unique to the particular model in that type and style. The sellers broad statement about "they'll fit all" should have been a red flag. Luckily you have some recourse with E-bay only it could be drawn out and lengthy. Dont feel to bad because you are generaly a trusting soul, that is a good attribute unfortunatley the a**wipe that sold it to you is a lesser individual, what goes around comes around..........Karma is a Bitch!
Take care

I don't think there is any recourse because he bought a piece for a touring model. The part manual is very clear on what fits a softail and what fits a touring bike. Your local dealer will take no mercy on you, they hate E-Bay. This happens all the time. Bad luck for a new buyer, not a seller's problem. He distinctly stated TOURING MODELS. Sorry to say it but I think your best bet is to relist it on E-Bay. I bet you come out OK.

I would think you got the guard for the FLH series and not the FLS series. The are different part numbers, but look the same.

If you are interested in aHD engineguard with the horizontal chrome and rubber footpegs (the one in my sig pic) PM me. I can send you some other pics. This is from my 2002 Fatboy and is in perfect condition. It was on the bike when I bought it, but it might as well be a coat rackbecause my short-a** legs can't reach! I've been meaning to list it on ebay but never have gotten around to it.
