Thanks Scootluver. Yeah the hammer got me to wondering on the modifications. LOL! I'll keep checking on the web site for the ipod hook up. I've seen a similar set up that DD custom cycles has for $550 with no amp. I was all but sold on going with a fairing from reckless, but I hate to go away from the look of the Heritage. That classic look is why I got it over a street glide when I sold my Dyna. I think the chrome speaker housing blends in pretty well with the bike so they don't stand out too much. Have you had it out on the highway (70-75 mph) and still been able to hear pretty clearly? I'm realistic, I know it won't sound like it would in a car or just around town.

By the way, your bike looks freakin sweet! Nice job with the amp install in the tool box.

Yea I saw the DD custom cycles setup as well. Too much money for what they offer and the basic speakers are alpines type R. I got everything including the amp for what they wanted to charge for the speaker setup alone. Plus I got Focal speakers, better quality. But on the flip side, all modifications are already done so u don't have to mess with anything. Just hook up to the amp and go. Highway speeds I can hear the music, of course not as well puting around town. But like you a fairing wasn't an option so have to make the best of it and the little space I have available.

No, they are focal 6.5 midwoofer/ tweeter combo. I have the model number lying around somewhere. But overall I'm very pleased with the setup. Two of my riding buddies put the same setup on their deluxes after hearing mine.

I just take a look at the 4 channel amp and maybe going to put two on the front and two speaker on the back on the saddlebag guard...

Yea by all means, hence the term custom setup. That would sound good. Just like baggers putting some speakers in the rear bags. I remember reading the 4 channel getting extremely hot so try to find some place on the bike with good air flow. Maybe its been an issued already corrected but I read that about a year ago when researching for a small mini amp.

I just bought the Harley boom. I just installed the amp & speakers. I did not cut any wires yet b/c I did not know if I needed to add a relay. I am glad I read your message about the nostalgia windshield. I must try my windshield now. I have an 07 deluxe

Default 07 deluxe boom audio w/nostalgia windshield

I would like to know if there is an adapter kit for the 2007 deluxe windshield so I can use the boom Harley speakers on my bars? also, how can I extend my true duals fishtails?

Default Itube motorcycle sound mp3 speaker

Anyone ever use or hear this speaker product? Seems like a nice idea if it works.
