I would be more concerned with overall condition/care. Paint is very subjective. In this case for me that particular paint scheme is wrong...very wrong...on rear fender, and just a bit wrong on the tank. But opinions are just that...opinions...eye of the beholder...different strokes for different folks...whatever floats your boat.
I have a shiny black Deuce...no imagination at all. Ebay buy 7 years ago. No other Harley fits me better...but not everyone agrees on that point either.
Good luck either way...you are a long way from winning
I bought my 06 Deuce new in Oct 05. It's a fun bike and handles well. I did have to buy a better seat for when my wife rides with me though. lol
It's taken us on a number of weekend and week long rides, complete with luggage, with no effort. A buddy has an 01 Deuce, neither of us has any kind of major problems with our bikes.
That bike has had a bit of bling added as well as looking like the rear has been lowered. IMO the rear wheel needs to be chromed or swapped to match the bike.
I like the paint scheme, just not too fond of the 'emblem' on the sides of the tank though.

What do you mean it's wrong on the rear fender and tank?
It's a 10 year old bike, with a pretty gross paint scheme. So, for $7500 yes; for more than that NO! I think the rear fender on the deuce is kinda funky, and that paint makes it look even funkier with the way it is kinda cut off at the rear tire. I think the Deuce was the first softail everyone hated, but hey I ride a blackline and everyone hates them....LOL It's your money, but since you asked for opinions; I would be ashamed to park it in my garage.
I think $8000 is more in line. You can get a lower mileage Deuce for around 7000. 3 k would go a long way in personalizing it the way you want it. I gave 10k for mine last June with only 11,000 miles on it plus over 4,000 in performance upgrades. It all in what pulls your trigger. Mine had performance I was looking for. Now I am personalizing the looks to suite me.
