Default Apes question

I am sure this has been asked before but I could not find a thread.

What is the tallest set of apes I can put on my 2012 Deluxe with 1 1/4" risers, without having to change cables and extend wiring?

Thanks for any help...

There is about 2" of slack in the cables, on average. Just spend the money, and get the height you want. You can do it yourself for around $750, depending on bars you choose.

If you don't mind black cables and can do them yourself you can save a lot. I have just over 350 into my bars and cables.

12 inches. Any more than that and you will definitely need new cables, etc.

I put heritage bars on my 2013 deluxe one 1.5" risers and reused stock cables. If they were even an inch taller I would have needed a new brake line, but the others would have been good for another 2" rise at least. I did my 14" apes with new magnum cables for just under $400 all said and done.
