I was looking at building an engine or ordering a crate engine. I only know of jims and s&s. Any others out there that make a stout crate engine that will fit in a 2007 softail? I am not impressed with anything HD offers.
124+ I got a dealer quote for a 113 for $5500 out the door but I am not sold on the power potential and parts list in relation to the price. If I am spending money I want to do it right.

Updated with more info.. I am not convinced of the 120r. I put 7000 miles on my bike over this winter and will run another 20-30k before this year is over. most of the time its wide open to or well above posted speed limit.

If you want some of the best bang for your buck you could try Ultima. Lot's of people diss them and lot's swear by them. Never had one so I don't know. My experience is with Harely and S&S.
Are U in a hurry to put out a fire somewhere.?
Thinking instead of spending $$$$$ on your motor and never recover it if you ever sell it,, get a Busa for the days you want to rip it, then for days you just want a good easy ride take the Harley out. Save you $$$ in the long run..

He has a Busa!!! I don't have a Jim's but there are a few around here and they screw
Not sure why you are not considering the 120R? I put one in my Road Glide and LOVE IT! Soooo smooth and just keeps pulling ! Rides like a normal bike until you hit about 3 grand then pulls like mad! Very streetable, best bang for the buck when I priced mine out, 127hp/132tq I'm happy! Trying to find the money to put one in my deluxe now, maybe next winter?
