I put a nice swing arm bag on for bigger items and I hard mounted so I could take off if I wanted. My hard mount cost me a whole $25. at lowes. So far I have just left it on and it takes my Lunch/extra gloves and shine rags to work. One of these days Ill have to ask nice and maybe we will just pass up the work stop and have lunch at the beach. For small items I put a tool pouch on the Handle bars.

+ 20 something on swing arm bag.......cheap ($200ish) and there are many flavors. I chose the HD one as I liked the fit and hardness of the bag but there are many companies to choose from.

that being said: i need some freaking storage! anything! i came to harleys from street bikes... had an fzr, yzf, fz, (yes, all yamahas) and have always been used to having at least a little bubby hole to throw some night goggles or a wrench or something. this breakout is the first bike ive owned that has nothing (at least that i know of).

so... is there any hidden storage that exists, or i could create on this thing?

sorry for the lame question.
You could always carry a small backpack or sling bag on you.

Here you go.. and yeah, it would probably be considered a fork bag, but it works just dandy for me..

I have had this bag on since I got the bike over the summer and haven't had any air flow problems - it doesn't cover the entire volt reg, just the top part of it. It's out of the way, doesn't really change the look of the bike and holds some basic tools and stuff.

Hey, I'm just returning to the HD fold. Do we HD riders still need to carry tools when we go for a ride?

Nope, just carry a cell phone and a AMA card. Myself, I also carry a small stash of tools and zip ties just in case.

Yeah I carry a few hex wrenches, a little screwdriver, an assortment of zip ties, a small microfiber towel, few paper towels I grabbed at a gas station, freebie kickstand plate and a cable and lock for when I want to lock my helmet to my bike.
