It's always a pissing contest, but you've got to remember, there is always someone with a faster bike, a more expensive house, bigger boat, blah, blah, blah. If you are worried about measuring up, and keeping up with the Joneses, thenI think that is contrary to the true spirit of being a "Biker" anyway, right?
I like my bike b/c it's my bike, it has my sweat, blood, and hard earned cash in it. So who cares what anyone else thinks.
My Fatboy is an TC88 and is kicking out 73 HP and 76 TQ. Not great, but respectable. Would I trade for Purple's Screamin Eagle. Hell No!!! If I want more out of it, I will just do the engine mods on my own bike.
No offense intended Purple, your bike is kick a$$. But I am biased towards the one in my garage.
Hey! I might be riding a Geezer Glide in 20 years or so.......... and I might be one of those croctity old basterts shaking my fist and bad mouthing youn'ens on the internet too.
I guess when people stop listening to you, you look for other ways to get heard. Sad.
I had my 10K Service done, along with the "STAGE 1 Kit" and installed the V&H Longshots w/o the baffles.
I had it DYNOED and I gained 10HP... SO I got 68HP now... Now all I need is a 50 shot of NOS. Life is good.
I guess my old Hayabusa numbers wouldn't be welcome over yonder barge way?
What Busa did you have? I have a turbo busa which was dynoed at 200 hp on stage 1 and 294 hp on stage 2 boost. water injection. it pulls like a freight train from dead stop all the way past 165 mphs. thats when I ran out of highway :-)
My 06 Fatboy TC88 dyno tuned to 73hp and 74 Ft Lbs torque. I thought those numbers were good for a stock TC88 with Stage 1 mods. Has anybody got significantly more than that with just pipes and an air cleaner with a dyno tune?
