I'll probably get some grief, but I decided to go with my stock risers. I tried the bars with both the stock, and the 1 1/2" riser I purchased. I really like the look and feel of the stock.

She's finally all done except for a good cleaning. I think I mentioned it before, but I didn't have to buy a Namz extension kit because the controls kit I bought from Drag Specialties came complete with wiring. I just had to terminate the pins and replace them in the Deutch connectors.

I had three difficulties. 1st, (which cost me a week) was that I stripped the upper left switch housing trying to tighten in a bad wiring layout. I learned my lesson, corrected the problem, and the new upper left switch housing I had to wait for went on like butter. 2nd, The cheap but awesome looking bullet grips I bought were made of cheap metal under all that chrome. You could see the molding seems and the throttle/idle cable sleeves didn't fit correctly. I broke one of the fins getting them in and ended up having to replace them. Lastly, I don't have a motorcycle jack, so putting on the new tire/wheel was a test in engineering. I ended up anchoring the rear with tie-down straps and some very sturdy anchors in my garage (compressor pallet and a quad). I then jacked up the frame using a regular floor jack and some wood. It was sturdy as hell! lol

Not mentioned above were some challenges for someone that never replaced cables... The clutch was a bit hairy and I ended up with a ball bearing or two on the floor, but putting it back together was a breeze. The other cables were pretty straight forward.

And now for a pic...she just needs washed.

It looks good, man. I kinda like the look of those risers with apes. Ride safe.
