Wow I wish I knew about Eastern Performance before I went stage one on my bike. Great prices there.

I had V&H BSS on my heritage...loved the look and loved the sound. V&H is one of the best IMO and will support you if you have any issues

I'm pretty sure they offer free shipping if you spend a certain amount....I didn't pay shipping or tax and mine were listed at 359.00 and thats all I paid.

I too debated between the Pythons and BSS. The Pythons were $360 and the BSS were $435...for the $75 difference I went with the BSS. I like the fact they have billet machined tips you can rotate around instead of the slash cut on the Pythons (no tips). I also figured if I decided to sell the BSS on Ebay I would get more more for them over the Pythons.

Check the classified section. Someone is selling a set of vance and hines bss for $250 I think. They said they were only on for about 700 miles I believe...Good luck.

ebox is 100% right. Python and V&H virtually the same, both made by V&G. I can give you a real world comparision, I have the V&H BSS on an '04 Deuce, my buddy who I've ridden thousands of miles with, the identical Pythons (cept for the V&H logo) on a couple year older Dyna Wide Glide. Anyone we ride with often says that our two pipes are the perfect low loud tone. The two pipes are virually indistinguishable. If you want the loud sound and therefore replaciing the baffles with quiet is not an issue, save the money and go with the Pythons.

BTW, both pipes are nice because at speed when relatively off the throttle, they quiet down so you don't go deaf cruising. Also the shape of the pipe puts the sound out behind you at speed.

I know you want loud but you might want to see if you can get the quiet baffles on the Pythons the way you can from V & H. They don't lower the volume much at all but lower the pitch to a more bassy tone. But they also boost the low end torque. That's the main reason I put them on my BSSs. The bike pulls a lot stronger from low rpm now and I don't have to downshift as much.
