Drag bars on my bike gave me really bad back pain , I am 5'9 with regular size arms, if you have longer arms and the LEO's in your area are OK , go with the highest possible Apes, maybe 'zee bars' to have minimal pull back and rotate them forward.
Most people have the opposite of your problem

I had drags on my NighTrain and loved the look and feel of them. Apes are certainly more mangageable for longer rides though. Shameless plug....I have my stock bars w/grips and cables for sale on here. Save you some bucks if you decide to go with drags.

Saturday, I'm having 6" risers with drag bars put on my Blackline. It'll be my "next to the last" mod. The last is still in the dream stage...replacing my black primary cover with a chrome one.

I would go apes, but that's obvious. If you have to choose between tbars or drag bars, I would go with tbars because they bolt into your trees, so no need for risers, less bolts to come loose, and you can run the wiring completely inside from the very bottom.

I dont have any wiring on my bars now, I've never had apes and the cables are long enough for 16" apes so I might try it out but I'm making a trip from Nebraska to Virginia Beach and dont want to be horribly uncomfortable
