I want to be able to wire up speakers to the lower leg fairings that I added and also in the lids of my stretched touring bags.

looks like it has to be mounted into something...like a fairing or bag mount. if you wanna run 4 speakers I didnt see where it had 4 channels to do that. All the above solved..you could put it in the HD boom audio case, its magnetic and small...just remove it when done riding.

Well I was trying to avoid running a fairing but I wanted something fixed to the bike. I did notice on that radio it had a 2 channel output but for some reason it wasnt in the description. could I run the radio to an amplifier connect the 4 speakers? Im not very audio savvy.

Have you thought about using head phones? The sound won't disappear in the wind at speed, and the world doesn't have to listen to your taste in music lol...the first one works in your favor, the second in everyone's else's favor...everyone wins!!

Not to mention you don't need to worry at all about buying all that audio system or the worry of where to mount it all

I was talking to a buddy that used to work with audio systems and installed them (which i never knew). But he lead me to this set up...

Clarion M303 Headunit or the Sony DSX-MS60 which would mount in my saddle bag (shouldnt take up too much room)
Clarion MW1 Marine Remote Control or the Sony RM-X60M/L. I would mount the remote control in where the ignition switch is and relocate the ignition switch to the horn location.

Both setups will be out of the way, speakers arent mounted on the handlebars or on the crashbars. They will be in the lower fairings and in the saddle bag lids. And even better NO FAIRING!
