Dash Panel Extension
Just fitted up the Harley panel extension part #71283-01 on my 04 Fatboy. It looks good except there is a gap between the tank and the rubber base of the extension near the rear of the tank. I have the maindash panel loose to tweak the whole assembly butIt seems as if the contour of the tank and the part do not match. There was foam squares sent in the kit to shim the extension butthere will still be gaps. Has any one else experienced this?Thanks

Just a guess. I have no experience with this except for reattaching my stock one. Which needed to be rebent just a touch.
But if it was me, I would gently bend the lower end of the extension. after reattaching it should mold itself better. But remember just a little at a time.
