Default fxstc saddlebags

I would like somewhere to put my things on trips. I was looking at the matching saddlebags in the book (88263-07) but would really like to see a picture if anyone has fitted them to there ride. or any other bags preferbly HD bags. Im nervous of spending allmost £700 on something I might not like.

I have seen the bags on a bike, not mine, and they looked very nice.
But why not get a rack like the 53979-07, I do have one of those. As it will allow you to put any kind of bag or even a backpack on. For overnight trips you can get a SAC or T-Bag to fit on there with plenty of room to store what you need without having to worry about its looks all the time.

JF, Soft06 has some bags that looksimilar tothe ones you mention, not quite the though. Anyway take a look here: https://www.hdforums.com/m_192139/mpage_8/key_/tm.htm

An alternative is something like Pacsafe bag, attached to the sissy bar on a rack or the seat and it locks to the bike and the top. I have one but no pics of it on. Here's their site, but you can buy them on eBay, Pacsafe stockistsor bike shows for less: http://www.pac-safe.com/www/index.ph...tail&id=29

You mention pounds which leads me to beleive you're from the UK, if so whereabouts? I'm in South Bucks, near London.

JF,

I was going to get the bags that matched the seat on my bike. HD Part# 88263-07.
But those bags only had 760 cubic inches of space.
So I went with these bags, which were designed for MOST Softails, HD Part# 90130-00D
These bags have 900 cubic inches or storage space.
And I did NOT have to relocate my turn signals.
Keep in mind though, if you have the FXSTC you will need the Hardware kit HD Part# 90573-07
to allow for the Seat on the Custom being so much wider. The kit has some chrome spacers that look good. The were a piece of cake to put on too. Just two (2) bolts per bag.

Hope this helps
Ride Safe..
