You guys made me get a set too.
I've tried them once for about 100 miles and they work pretty good.

I like my deflectors. I've only taken them off once in the 12,000 miles I have on the bike (06 Heritage Classic)--and they went right back on after one freeway jaunt. They're not just a winter thing, either. They keep bugs and some of the rain off your legs in the summer. More importantly, they stop a lot of the wind turbulence that otherwise comes up from under the windshield and shakes your helmet (if you wear one).

They are a bit of a pain to clean, however, where they fit behind the driving lights.

I have the hd models and there great for winter riding. Keeps the wind off your legs. Too hot for summer use.
