Oil drops from 1997 EVO engine
Have a problem with oil dropping around the primary case and the oil plug to the primary. But have changed plug and a new gasket on the primary, and this is ok. When the bike stands still, with engine on, it does not drop any oil. Only after have been using the bike for a while, and when stopping, it drops 3-4 drops from that area, and then it stops. No more oil dropps.
Does anyone have had this problem? Can it be a oilring or gasket from primary and to the front belt drive axel?

Also look at the case halves. My 91 Evo drips a few drops when I park it. It drips from the case halves and blows back to the primary... making it look like it's leaking from the primary and primary drain plug.
Wipe the inner and outer primary covers clean, then check after you ride.
Get underneath or use a mirror and see if the oil is coming from above the drain plug.
Sometimes a primary seal leak will run down and drip off at the plug, making it look like the plug is leaking.

+1 on Dan89. The easiest way to tell if it's coming from that inner primary seal is to put your hand up directly behind the primary drain plug and see if you get fresh oil on your fingers. If you do, that seal is leaking.
On the engine case halves, put a wrench on the case bolts. They do loosen up and it's easy to forget to check them when you are doing your services. Unfortunately once they start leaking there's not much you can do short of tearing the motor apart since the sealant between the halves starts to come out of the loose cases and the bolts will continue to loosen up. You just have to check them a lot. There's no way to reseal the cases properly without a full teardown.
