I tried to start HS the other day and turned the switch and heard a pop and everything went dead. I have no lights, nothing either in ignition or accessory mode. Checked the battery and grounds all good. Pulled connector at switch and had power so I figured must be switch. Put a new switch in, still nothing. I checked circuit breakers and even jumped the 30amp breaker and still nothing. I have wiggled wires. Any ideas what to check next?

Start simple...have you checked your battery terminals to see if they are tight? Have you used a meter or test light to see if you have power at the main breaker?
Well, I played around all day on this, didn't get anything. Shutoff my spotlight switch and bang, there is power. Turned it back on all is working, not sure if circuit breakers were issue or not. Then I plugged in starter relay and hit switch and all went dead again, unplugged relay and got power back after circuit breaker reset. So I am going to try a new starter relay and replace the 30 amp circuit breaker while I am at it. Should have parts Tuesday, I will let you know if this worked.
Well I thought it was the relay but now I believe I have a wire that is chaffed through or an intermittent ground now. I am going to start with the starter ground and work my way through all the wiring. This is turning into a pain. I will let you know what I find.
Have you checked the battery terminals as already suggested? My Brothers Heritage did the same thing and it was because of a loose connection on the ground terminal. Tightened it up and he was good to go. Worth a look.
It was the battery! Damn Walmart special. Vibration must have broken a plate and it would short out when big load was on it. I would have bet it was a starter issue at the end but got lucky.
