VH FP3 Server Issue
I've a 2013 deluxe, FP3 and iPhone 4S, all software has been upgraded and the FuelPack upgraded the firmware when the FP3 was initially connected to the bike and iPhone.
However when I attempt to open the Map Lookup menu, I keep getting an error message saying server is not contactable. I've done everything the FAQ suggests such as use WiFi or if problems use the phones internet connection, I even tried rebooting the phone and also disconnected the FP3 and reconnected, plus I tried disconnecting the bikes battery for 5 mins... nothing helps, I still have the server is not contactable message.
My internet speed is lightning fast, the Fuelpack software looks for the server for about 2 seconds before it gives up and displays the error message.
WTF..............

To do a simple check, leave your wi-fi off, and connect to any website you can think of. Try the app store. If all of that works, turn on your wifi and try again. If that works, there is no need to contact your ISP or monkey with much else on your phone as far as connectivity to the internet goes.
Have you tried uninstalling the app and re-installing it? Some have also reported turning off wi-fi and using just the service providers data connection.
Good luck!
To solve it I force quit the V&H app ( which as you may know is different than closing an app), turned off the bike and unplugged the FP3.
Then started from scratch per the sequence in the FP3 instructions.
When I installed the Fuelpak application I did it using my desktop and synced it onto the iPhone. Don't know if that was the issue, but I deleted the application and reinstalled using only the iPhone cell service directly from the Apple store, all works fine now.
I've already flashed the ECU with the stage 1 tune for a 2013 Deluxe, the bike has slight backfires when decelerating, currently running Autotune and will add some feedback once I've gone through a full tank of juice.
Thanks to everyone for their feedback
