No my skin isn't thin, but it looks like some in here might have hurt feelings. I was actually planning on putting different handlebars, grips and probably highway pegs on my bike (for comfort). That's why I asked the QUESTION. I didn't want my bike to appear ghetto to other traditional H-D people. I think some of you might be being a little hypocritical in your comments to me though. I think everyone has their own idea of what level of modification looks ghetto in both bikes and cars. There could be a bike on the cover of EASYRIDER, that you might say to yourself, you would never own such a bike because it doesn't even look like a H=D, and looks too GHETTO! just sayin.......

As for putting stuff on the bike, I like doing it, obviously. But I also think it can go overboard. I try to find the right mix of functionality and looks. My general rule is most everything you put on should have some type of function that improves the ride.
One thing though, I would never call my mods, "my build." I think you really gotta chop and shave stuff to call it that.
I did some stuff to my Slim that was kinda tricky. But I didn't "build" it.

Lets discuss my mods (and 90% of the guys have somewhat the same) I have a Heritage..
* Samson true duals w/fishtails - They look and sound BADASS and add to performance - I'll bet in 2 years your pipes will be changed
* S&S Stealth Intake - Every bike has some sort of an air adder especially with pipes - If you do item 1, you'll do this to
* Metzeler 880 white walls - A) It was time for rubber, B) Metzelers kick *** C) Whitewalls look bad *** - Most guys swap out the Dunlops
* My air horn - Safety riding with the illegals in NJ and I like being a dick sometimes
* Mirrors - Because to me, stockers look cheap - TRUST ME in less then 1 season, you'll swap mirrors
* Pegs - Kury long and reg boards - because a Heritage needs boards - You'll swap your pegs in 6 weeks
* Mustang leather tank bib - Because the plastic piece looks like **** and I like a little pouch on the tank - Maybe you like plastic..
* Grips - ok, you said you'll change em
* Hiway bar - Because a Heritage looks bad *** and I like the function
* Air cleaner Cover - HD Heritage line - I give you 1 season before you change yours
Its lots of little subtle things that sets you apart. Thats modified

Most of the real bad *** things you see, you maynot even realize is modified. Some of the rolling showcases, well these are just bad ***. I guess the guys here dont drink chardonay or lite beer or douche and dont appriciate the truck pulling up tell them to do so..
