Hi , I would like to know if it's possible to move the ign, on a 09 Rocker
from between the cylinders to the top of the tank like a Dyna.....change
the instrument panel to the Dyna style? Thanks for your input.
Hi ,yes not a big fan of the self ejecting key and also the bulging speedo....think the
deuce instrument panel is much cleaner. Im thinking I would have to use a coil from a deuce also?
Wouldn't you be able to leave the Rocker coil where it is? You just wouldn't be using the ignition switch portion, and would be running those wires to the new switch.
The official hillbilly method though to keep from needing to scrounge around on the ground for your key is to attach a short cord to the key with an alligator clip on the other end. Clip can go on your coil bracket or or pants or something. Or even your pocket, if the cord is long enough.
Another option might be to use a Breakout coil and switch. It locks and unlocks with the key like the dash switches, and then the key can be removed, and the switch can be moved with the lever. I haven't looked into it enough to know if it's basically a bolt-on.
