Congratulations funbikerchic!!! I'm not a gambler but I am betting your going to enjoy it and have a ton of fun. Any planned mods to it before you take it home or after you get it home and do it yourself? I ride a Deluxe now but if it were anything else it would be a Heritage. That's what my last bike was. I also found my old 70 Electra glide and I want it back but he won't talk to me about it...yet!
Ride safe young lady and enjoy. I think your in for a fun and safe summer with your brand new, all yours, bad *** Harley Davidson. Also as for some bikes and pictures, your right, they don't do them justice at all. I have the black and white and the pictures are not even close to how it looks in person, IMHO!
EDIT: Not to highjack a thread but yours looks pretty nice oct1949 for some reason, maybe it's just that classical Black Harley Davidson thing going on there.

I use the Papa Bags frame inserts. 15 minute install and allow the bags to have "some" character. With regard to the Morocco Gold displayed on the Harley web site, I fell in love with it. I went to buy a Heritage in that color when my dealer got one. In person, the color is much more white then the pic shown, not even close. Good looking, but not what I expected and kept my Heritage.
That's funny because I really don't like the color as displayed on the HD site, but I love it in person, when it is outside in the sun!!

I am having new wheels put on, a shorter windshield, heated grips, and a luggage rack. Eventually, I will change the passenger pegs to match the grips and I will add lever covers/fringe. Also, thinking real hard about a crotch cooler. Oh, and I might get a seat with a driver's backrest at some point.
From Old Glory HD in Laurel MD. A 2014 in Vivid Black. It's at the dealer for add-ons: mustache-style crash bar, SE Street Performance slipons, and extended shift and footbrake levers.
The parts guy says there's no need for a retune just for the slipons, but I'm a little worried it might run leaner and hotter than stock. Any advice?
The only other cycle I've owned or ridden was a BSA 441 Victor that I bought new for $820 in 1968 and sold the next year before shipping out for Cam Ranh Bay. (Not counting the Buells I rode for 2 days in a parking lot for the MSF Basic course last month.)

Congrats on your new ride. I forgot to mention I also am adding crash bars. I didn't get the mustache ones, though, because the oil cooler will likely be in the way of putting my legs up on the top. With the ABS unit being located where the HD oil cooler is usually mounted I had to get an after market version that attaches to the front down tube on the frame.
My favorite mod to the bike has been adding thermal foam to the seat. Had it done at Thunder in the Hills rally. Really comfy now. :-)
If you find the head buffeting excessive at speed, the fangs delay the buffeting about 10mph. Bigger windshield works but may interfere with vision (I'm going to try a 2" shorter LongRideShield next).

If the 14's are the same as my 2011, the cats are in the mufflers. If you install the SE slip ons they will also have cats. You may want to consider an after market slip on with a free flow to allow the heat out. Slip ons do not require a tuner, if you install a Stage 1 A/F it will run hot (lean) and pop on decel.
