Take your time, and it is a pretty easy install, spend the time to route your wiring properly, and I would suggest cutting your air hose to fit. Everyone has a different way to loosen the shoulder bolts, I left the bike on the ground took a closed end wrench and a rubber mallet , calmly tapped each side for about 5 minutes they came off easy.

Are the front bolts undone? The only thing that should hold it once all the bolts are out is the swing arm. Put a jack under the rear tire and pump it up so that it clears.

The front shock bolt has flats on it for a wrench so you can keep the shocks from rotating when removing the front nuts. I want to say it was a 9/16.

The shock would turn even with rear shoulder bolts still on. Use open end wrench on shock lock nut , and shock will be stabilized while you remove front nuts. JD
