hi, just orderd my shotgun shocks,is there anything hard about the install,or the directions pretty straight forward, any other advice or pictures of install ,thanks
Take your time, and it is a pretty easy install, spend the time to route your wiring properly, and I would suggest cutting your air hose to fit. Everyone has a different way to loosen the shoulder bolts, I left the bike on the ground took a closed end wrench and a rubber mallet , calmly tapped each side for about 5 minutes they came off easy.
well i started today to remove old shocks, got the rear shoulder bolts out, wasnt bad at all with the rubber mallet, take a break and then go try the front, they say if shock does`not clear frame knock front sleeves out ,never took shocks off before ,any advice here ,2004 heritage, thanks
Are the front bolts undone? The only thing that should hold it once all the bolts are out is the swing arm. Put a jack under the rear tire and pump it up so that it clears.
no front bolts are not out, if i turn then the hole back of shock turns that was hooked up with shoulder bolts, should i have taken front out first, thanks

The shock would turn even with rear shoulder bolts still on. Use open end wrench on shock lock nut , and shock will be stabilized while you remove front nuts. JD
