I think Harley hit the nail on the head with their QD windscreen that doesn't leave behind any mounting hardware. 5-600+ mile travel days - out here in the plains - they're nice. Poker runs and bike night - not so much.

Pretty day, mid to upper 70s, max speed 65, without the shield feels good! Outside those parameters, shield up!

Even with the shield those damn bugs can find my face. When I did Thunder in the Hills, a large bug hit my 3/4 helmet's shield right in front of my right eye, not just once, but once a day for three days in a row. How they targeted my right eye around the wind shield at 60-75 mph I don't know!

Wondering how Klock Werks windshield performs? Recently drove wifey's S-T Deluxe to work. It has the H-D Windshield. My head felt like I did ten rounds with Mike Tyson.

Different shield heights for taller or shorter rider. If you prefer looking over the shield, the shield height should be between chin and nose. Shields curved at the top can be a couple inches shorter. If you wear a full face, shield height is a little less important. If you get lots of buffeting, try keeping knees pressed against tank at higher speeds and/or fangs.
