Don't know if something like this has been posted, or not, but figured I would share something I tried today. I know lots of folks on this board use windshields from Fastaire, as do I. The price is definitely right. The only small issue I've run into is that the shield is flat when delivered, no contour. This wasn't much of an issue with the 6 incher, as it had pretty good flexibility, but the 10 incher (putting it on for the winter) wasn't quite so flexible.
So, I got one of those bouncy ball things that you pump up and kids hop up and down on, the one I had was medium sized, and about 80% pumped up. I put the shield on it (with the protective tape still on it) and put a regular tie down around both. I then tightened the tie down till the shield was curved just slightly more than it would be on the bike. Put the shield/ball in my truck where the sunlight would hit it, and closed it up for a couple of hours. Took it out, took it in the house to cool down for a few minutes, and when I took the tie down off the shield had a permanent curve just about the same contour as the bike fairing...
If its Lexan you can heatit with anything from a hair drier to a rosebud to makeit bend.
Back in my working days, we used a rosebud and brake to form 90* bends on 3/8" lexan for machine guards.
Just don't over heat the lexan.. it will discolor and melt ...
