Glad your alive, not so glad the other guys is though. He will get caught, didn't anyone run after this guy to get a plate number, anything? Karma is a Bitch! Sorry about your bike and all the mods down the tube. This is a prime example of why I went and had my bike appraised and insured for that appraisal amount. My rates when up a tad but should I ever need it, it will be well worth the time and trouble it took to get the appraisal and reinsured. Good luck and heal well brother.

Yeah one of the witnesses tried to get it but he said the paper tag was blowing around and the guy was driving too fast he didn't want to cause another accident.
My insurance takes the upgrades into account when doing the value. I paid a bit extra on premiums to cover up to 5k in customizing. I was able to see the bike yesterday. Aside from the front wheel and tire everything is toast. Not sure how the front wheel/tire survived, but it did. Only damage I saw from the frame back was the gas tank. The dealer still has to check the frame.
I have pics but can't get this laptop to recognize the camera. My normal pc is upstairs and I can't go up steps yet. Going back in to hospital to get my knee drained again and another round of x-rays.
Thanks again for all the good wishes.

Like everyone else said prior...glad your okay to ride another day! At least you'll have some time while it's so hot hear in TX to look for the next one. The pics must be tough to look at as a constant reminder. I was almost hit today! Two turning lanes...I was on the outside lane and apparently in Mexico (license plate on the car was Mexico) you can just randomly make a third lot fourth lane. I had to stop really quick before I was a Road King sandwich. I laid on the horn and then pulled along side. Probably 19-20 year old girl, didn't even make eye contact, or even wave with saying "hey guy sorry", nothing!

Thank God you lived to ride again...

Sure would have been nice to have gotten more on the drivers info.. That'd been a nice pain and suffering check you would have gotten if he had any insurance.

Were you on I35? When we left ROT we made good time North until 40 miles from Waco the stop & go for 35 miles. I'm thinking about having patches made that say "I Survived I-35".
Glad you survived

Never made it to 35, I was still on Decker. I was heading toward the toll road. It ends in Buda and I live a few miles away in Kyle, virtually no traffic on it.
