I hope I can get some help. I have a 2001 fatboy and I purchased a lowering kit (simple shock studs). I had a 96 heritage years ago and can't remember having this much difficulty.........I have disassembled the shock body and cannot, for the life of me, remove the stock shock bolt from the cover plate.......wtf?? I am supposed to remove the stock bolt or does the new one thrrad on top of the old one??.......I'm at my wits end and hope someone can add some insight before wrenches start flying. What am I missing here??
