Frame horn question with 200mm tire.

Hey guys I did a 200mm tire on my 05 softail and cut the frame horns off

, my wife never rode on the bike so it wasn't a big deal, now that I don't have a wife

I'd like to take a passenger but I'm freaking out that there not enough support. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks

I see only one option. You have to add another bike to the inventory! What rear fender did you go with? That may help to determine the strength of your rear fender.

84-85 softails did not have frame horns...the had bolt on solid struts that were plenty capable of carrying a passenger. Then they went to frame horns and strut covers...at some point after they went to the 200 tire...they had bolt on frame horns...you can get the bolt on frame horns and strut covers from a newer bike...plenty strong for 2 up riding.

Weld on / bolt aftermarket steel struts or ones from a newer 200mm bike and use a stock fender,... or if you really want to get fancy buy a heartland kit http://heartlandbiker.com/wide-tire-...inkle-struts-5
