Question about running SE 180 on deuce

I got my new SE 180 tire mounted on a new chrome Deuce wheel and Chrome pulley. This is my problem. I ordered the 1/8" spacer kit from Vulcanworks and it comes with a spacer that goes between the wheel and pulley, a washer, and another piece that mounts to the outside of the pulley that has a sleeve that goes through the middle of the pulley to the bearing inside the wheel. This is to align the pulley with the wheel since the 1/8" spacer is now even with the wheels original lip that origionally alligned the pulley. Im not crazy about putting this piece up against the new chrome pulley as it is just a piece of machined aluminum not to mention that it looks bad. I have not heard of anyone else using this piece. How are you guys doing this and making the 180 tire work. Vulcan says they did not recomend running the pulley without the piece that alligns it. I hope I explained this so you all understand. Thanks for any help.

I have the kit and i used that piece. everything works fine. i have the chrome pulley cover and the bare aluminum does stick out. it would be nice if vulcan offered that part chromed. you could send it out and get it chromed. once installed no one will notice. use chrome pulley bolts that will help dress it up.
