Error Code Help
Riding it home I noticed a blinking red light which I later learned was an indicator that a code is being stored.
The bike seems to run great, except when its dark out I notice that every now and then the speedo light will shut off for a few seconds.
I got into the diagnostics menu and had three options:
BCM: N
ECM: Y
SPD: Y
When I went into either the ECM menu or SPD menu, I got the code 62272.
Anyone know what this error code correlates to? My suspicion is that the voltage regulator is on its way out based on the symptoms...
Thanks guys,
Mark
I think it's something to do with the speedo settings, I know with the software I have I can change the speedo settings. It could be the speedometer's pulses per unit value displayed. This number will vary depending on how it is set up. This will depend on things like wheel size fitted. So in your case the speedo sender unit sends 62272 pulses which equals a mile.
I don't think the value you describe is an error code.
That's my best guess.
That first digit isn't a 6, it's a "b"
According to this chart I found:

b2272 means "BCM or Speedometer voltage high"... so you may already be on the right track thinking it's the voltage regulator...
