Changing front caliper heritage
Here's the deal inside pad looks great. Outside pad is completely gone. Down to scraping rotor when turning right. ONLY when turning right. About 4k miles on the set. Is there a problem? If so I will need to change the caliper. Just as cheap to change as put it in the shop to tell me the same thing. How difficult to change a front caliper on 97 heritage. I don't want to upgrade it works just fine with the dual piston set up. Is there a video on changing out a caliper or pretty straight forward. Change it and bleed it.

The caliper is supposed to "float" over the rotor, allowing it to apply pressure from both sides when applying brakes. Check the mounting to make sure. Pretty sure you'll find it bound stationary, allowing pressure from only 1 side. Sounds more like mounting problem, not the caliper itself.

Manual. Google. Either rebuild or replace caliper. The pistons maybe stuck, not releasing inside pad. Pistons should be cleaned every 5k miles. No dust boot so brake dust collects on them and they do not release. Sounds like rotor needs to be replaced also. Inspect rear caliper also!!
