Default Front suspension & brake upgrade

I recently did the two named above to my 2010 deluxe. For the front suspension I went with the progressive monotube lowered an inch. What a difference. Brake dive is very minimal and the front end just seems to track better when in the curves. There is a big difference in the way it handles. Highly recommend this upgrade.
For the brakes, I went with HHI 6 piston front caliper with Lyndall Z plus pads. The rear is a harley chrome caliper also with Lyndall Z plus pads. The front brakes feel great as well as the rear. There is definitely more stopping power. Bleeding the front brake was a bit of a pain as the bleeder screws are on the back side of the caliper and my wheel did not help any. But with the help of my wife we got it done. Again, highly recommend. So with the two combined upgrades, my bike handles great, I have brakes when I need them that do not fade, and the front end tracks like it should which just makes for a better ride.
I also want to say thanks to Hogpro for the great pricing and extremely fast shipping. Great to deal with if you haven't yet.
Here is a pic of the caliper.

Looks like I'm going to have to add the Progressive Monotubes to go with my newly installed Progressive 422 RAPs.

Was the Monotubes difficult to install?

The monotubes are a straight drop-in install, but you will have to remove the fork tubes from the bike.

Exactly what jam436 said. I did not do the install though. I brought it to my indy. I just don't have time to do everything and I completely trust him. If your thinking about it, just go ahead and do it. You will not be disappointed. IMO, They make a huge difference in the way the bike handles.

That looks great. Thanks for your business and enjoy being able to stop on a dime and having the front end handle well. I love my mono tubes as well. They provide a night and day difference in the front end handling of the bike.

Everyone always says the monotubes make bikes handle better. What I want to know is if the monotubes will make the ride better? If I hit the same bump with stock shocks and monotubes will the monotubes soak up the bump better? Are the monotubes more plush than stock?

Here's a review I posted on the monotubes - it includes before an after close-up videos of the front shocks in motion, shot with a GoPro.

The difference is night and day.
With the stock shocks, front end travel varied widely, up to 4" or more on normal roads with loads of brake dive - afterwards all that was reduced to about 2".
More firm = more control.

Before the mono tubes the front end felt light shall we say (less traction). Now the front end feels tighter (more traction) and tracks better. Its not going to be buttery smooth. Think of them like suspension on a sports car. Its going to be tighter, handle the input from the road better, resulting in better traction. They will firm up the front end causing less brake dive which is a good thing. Check out jam436's review. Trust me, it is a big difference. Hope this helps.

Lookslike the ride is a lot firmer in your videos and the bike rides higher also. Im looking for a cadillac plush suspension and it seems like the monotubes might not be the way to go.

For caddy type suspension the mono tubes are not what you want. I'd say stay stock height and add some Race Tech gold valve emulators or Ricor intiminators for a caddy plush ride. Lowering will only reduce your fork travel which give less of a caddy type feel.
