Is there a thread on how to access the headlight plug on my Softail Slim?
(I did a search, no luck).
I think the plug is under the fuel tank, so I am looking for the procedure for lifting the fuel tank and sliding tank back for access.
Any link or information would be greatly appreciated.

A service manual is your friend. If you don't have one for your bike and year, you are one tool short of working on your bike in my opinion.
That said the typical instruction is, (I start with a large towel across the top of the rocker boxes ) remove seat, remove bolt at rear of tank. Support tank and remove front through bolt. You can slide it back a bit here. If it does not slide back enough, you can unhook the fuel line from the rear left of the tank. If it is efi you may get a little drip out of it but not enough to worry. It will not flow. If Carb, then make sure the petcock is off. At this point you should have plenty of room to get to the wring.
All of that said, I don't think mine had a connector to remove to remove the headlight. I think that was one wire I had to remove at the light itself, but that might have just been a preference when I worked on it.
Thanks for the help! You are correct, I need a service manual.
Where is the best place to obtain said manual for my '13 Slim?
Most dealerships won't have one on the shelf, and will have to order one. You'll wait however long until it comes in, probably pay full price plus tax.
OR
You can order one online from one of the dealers who discount, like Surdyke or Kutter (and I'm sure I'm forgetting some), get something like 20% off, no taxes, may have to pay some shipping, may not, and get it delivered for less hassle and probably about the same time frame.
You do not need to move the tank to unplug the headlight. The connector is on the left side of the bike under the tank, right behind the neck of the frame. Look just behind the rubber boot at the front of the tank. You can use a small thin screwdriver, or a metal pick to push the detent on the connector if necessary. Look for the 3 wire connector with white/yellow/black wires.
