Well, it happened.
Bike fell off the lift in my garage.
Looks like I need to replace the fuel tank, handle bars, turn signals and mirrors.
Why can't I find softail slim fuel tanks on Harley Site?

That sux! Those lifts really worry me. I've found a 2X6 under the lean stand works just as well. You just don't have the bike at eye level..
Edit: oh and the tank is a dealer order item. Won't find it on the website.

Pep boys - I think it's called Big Red, or something. I just got finished installing Shotgun Shocks and was pushing a bit to arrange some wiring, and over it went.
Any idea what the factory tank costs from the dealer?

Sorry to hear about that! This place does dent repair. Maybe its cheaper than a new tank. Give it a look.

Just a note. If you buy it through the dealer, you can get it prepainted. Also, if you have Progressive insurance, they will pay for the whole thing with very little out of pocket..

Yeah, around a grand total for a painted one. Call your insurance company. Had a friend drop his brand new V-Star in the driveway after driving it home. Dented the tank pretty bad. Insurance replaced it.
Tins are all over eBay.
It kills me to hear about your bike falling. I've said it for years, people buy one of the most expensive motorcycles in the world and go cheap when buying a lift. I've owned a Pitbull since 2002 and never even slightly worry about the stability. When I store the bike in the winter, it's up on the lift and covered - perfectly safe.
Good luck with the repairs. Oh yeah, we need pictures.
