Well 3 weeks ago I was out riding with the wife and stopped to get a cup of coffee. While waiting to be served I hear a loud screeching of tires and then a crash. I run outside and find a Ford F250,being driven by an uninsured, unregistered, unlicensed,"undocumented" female(can't say illegal here in Massachusetts) sitting on top of my 2013 Deluxe. As I approach the truck I see a man arguing with her and when he sees me he says she is trying to drive away. Luckily for me the police are driving by and see the whole thing happen, they pull in and quickly determine her status, p[acing her under arrest for leaving the scene of an accident,I think they stretched it a little, because they were not real happy with the driver, but not my concern. well anyways the Deluxe was totaled and my insurance paid it off, so I went bike shopping the other day and bought a 2014 Slim. Picked it up today and went for a 175 mile ride, have to say my butt was very happy to get off the stock seat, except for that the bike is awesome and I could not be happier
It's unfortunate about your Deluxe, but luckily the both of you weren't on the bike when it was hit.
The Slim is a great bike! There is a pretty big gathering of Slim enthusiasts in the Softail forum. Click this link to take you to the Slim picture thread. It should give you some ideas for your bike along with new seat ideas.
Well I'm glad you weren't injured as a bike can be replaced but your life is the only one you have! I'm curious also, why did you choose a slim after a deluxe?
The scumbags status = criminal. Should be in prison. End of discussion.
Glad you were not under it...What about next time...
THat's why I have worked in assachusetts, but my home is in New Hampshire, where they have a clue about right and wrong...
As of Jan. 1, next year, I'm out of this toilet socialist state for good and not coming back...and taking my money...
Ride safe...
Well I walked into the Dealership fully intending to leave with a new Deluxe and then I saw the Slim. It was "love" at first site, then I sat on it and it seemed to just fit me,liked the fact it sat so low. Also was hooked on the old school/bobber style.
