RE: digital oil temp dipstick
I have the LCD oil temp/level dipstick, but I'm sure the procedure is the same.
Copied from the instructions sheet:
1. Carefully peel back the lip around the edge of the rubber grommet to separate the grommet and dipstick from the display body collar.
2. While being extremely careful not to strain the wiring, gently separate the display and dipstick assemblies.
3. Note the battery orientation. Using a mechanic's pick or a small screwdriver, carefully insert the tool under the battery in the area opposite the retaining tabs. Gently pry the battery free. Discard the battery. Insert the new battery under the retaining tabs as shown and push the battery down until seated.
4. Lining up the tab on the display body collar with the notch inside the rubber grommet, assemble the two parts, being careful not to pinch the wiring.
5. Insert the dipstick into the filler neck.
6. Check for proper operation by pressing the rubber button on the front face.
