The pipes on my bike are from West Coast Choppers and are called Hell Bents by Jesse James. I think they probably came from Heartland who now distributes them. They have the WCC logo welded onto them.
I like the looks of the pipes but have to say they get very hot. I ruined a couple of pairs of jeans before I found a solution which was a velcro strap I bought from a bicycle shop. My future plan is to send them out for ceramic coating. I think they'd look cool in a dark blue coating. The coating is also supposed to reduce heat.
I doubt you ride like a girl, pipes are true blue. You runnin a little lean????

Thanks. My license plate frame has that engraved on it. I guess it's my statement against stereotypes. I've ridden motorcycles since I was 11 years old, including motocross racing as a teen and a lot of hill climbing on dirt bikes. I started riding street at 18 and this is my 14th bike, and my favorite.
Running lean. I don't know about that. I have zero mechanical ability. How do I check for "lean". I figured it was due to the design. I read somewhere that a guy happen to run into Jesse James and complained that the pipes were really hot and could he make a heat shield for him. I guess JJ called him a p*ssy, etc. and he got no heat shields. The dark blue matches my color quite well and I like the idea of the entire pipe being blue instead of chrome so I'm going to try the ceramic coating.
Thanx for the input. I forgot about this thread lol.
I am gonna cut my short shots and weld them up so they run higher across the motor like the chopper pic I posted in the original pic in this thread. I will then have to make a rear support mount and move the remote oil filter down to the bracket that currently supports the rear of the pipes. Shouldnt be too hard, just have to get motivated. The garage is a bit nippy!!!
