Only had my Slim a couple of days. I prefer riding wo/ a shield, but I know the day will come when I wanna hit the big open road (freeway) and I'm gonna want a little more protection.
Is anyone using a shield? If so, what kind?
I looked at the Memphis Shade Slim & Sporty.
If you like a windshield on a Slim more power to you, but there will never be a windshield on mine.
I just cannot bring myself to do it, I'll tough it out.
I have the HD Detachable Wind Splitter Vented Windshield - Part No. 57400159 - Required the following additional parts to fit without aux lights: HD FLSTF Bracket Kit for 100th Anniv Windshield Part No. 58810-02 and Spacer (2 pieces) Part No. 5885
They're the standard H-D visors but they came in chrome.
I had them powdercoated.
Since then I've heard they're now offered in black but I haven't verified this.
I have the deluxe aux lamps so the turn signals are below the lamps. So I had to use the nostalgic windshield mount. I went with the Long Ride Shield recurve. I am only 5'7 so I might have it cut down.
I will post a pic but for some reason it will come up sideways and I cant make it bigger.
