Got back from Myrtle Beach yesterday. Spent Friday and Saturday there. I love bike week! The bikes and the people are great. While I was there I took my seat off for the first time since it was painted and I tried a Corbin Hollywood Solo on my bike. I was a little disappointed to see that the flames on my rear fender didn't go all the way back. So without the 2-up seatthere is a big blank blue space. Just didn't look right at all with a solo seat. So the 2-up HD Stripper seat will stay. Which is fine with me because I like the looks and comfort of it. I just may get new skin for it at some point to customize it more. So because I couldn't do the seat, I did a different mod. Woohoo! I added a Wimmer 90 degree aircleaner kit with a blue Super Filter. I had always heard negative things about going with the 90 degree aircleaners because they pulled in too much air and caused the bike to not run as well. I had this in the back of my mind and was a little nervous when I was having it put on. The awesome looks of that style aircleaner just made it too hard to pass up. After riding my bike at all speeds with it on, I have no complaints or problems at all. As a matter of fact, it is actually more comfortable having the 90 degree kit. My leg would rest against the football style aircleaner and now my leg doesn't touch anything. I think the new look it gives the bike really adds to the stretched look the Deuce has. Needless to say, I'm very happy with the new mod. Here are a few pictures. I also included one of the GPS I added.

nice air cleaner man....was looking at one of those myself.......when i had my bike painted, i told them to do flames for a solo seat just so i would not have to worry about that. i think the seat you have on there looks as good as a solo anyway though, so dont sweat it...looks great the way it is.

Firestarter:

I'm about to order a mustang seat and have been debating on the backrest. Does the mustang backrest bolt to the stock backrest or do I need the tall mount.

Looking good AU and L2R!

L2 did you hit any of the rain heading home, and if so were there any concerns with the filter exposed like that?

We looked at the weather before we headed out there and it looked like there was a pretty good chance of rain so we trailered the bikes there. I knew if we rode it would rain. It's rained on us on the way home the last five years, so I knew this year wouldn't be any different. But sure enough, we trailer and it's beautiful weather on the way there and on the way home. It looked like it was gonna get nasty Saturday night, but I don't think it rained. So I never rode with the exposed filter in the rain. When I bought it, I also bought the optional sock. They said it would keep dust out and is water repellant also. It performs the same with or without the sock and I think it looks better without, so I'm just keepin it off until it looks like I'll run into some weather.

Yeah the weather got real nasty looking saturday night - we got rained on a little bit coming back from Broadway at the Beach heading back down to Garden City but certainly not what could have been given the views of the sky.
