thanks crossbow, thats a nice bike in vid! is it yours?
No, its one I spotted recently on Youtube. Here's mine below with my 13 year old granddaughter on board. She likes the bike which is kind of unusually for a 13 year old girl to like a motorcycle especially a H-D. She has said that it will be her bike when she learns to ride in a year and a half or so. That's fine with me but guess I'll get her a smaller version to learn on.
Hoping someone out there with the heartland kit on their deuce could offer some info. I did the 180 "Heartland" last winter on my deuce. Had been wanting to do it for a while but never had the funds. Found one on Ebay for a really good price, should have known it was too good. But I bought the kit anyways, when I received it I realized it was not entirely a Heartland kit. Struts were not heartland, fender didn't fit the struts, seat was a heartland, but not sure it was for the deuce. Thanks to the help from the guys at Heartland though I managed to get a different rear fender and get it all together. I also ended up having to cut the rear fender to fit the ECM under the seat, but have had people tell me I shouldn't have had to. Where did you guys mount your ECMs? I'm considering changing to the heartland slotted struts and possibly a different rear fender in the future so just checking to see if there's any other issues I may run into. Any info info would be appreciated, thanks.
Why didn't Harley Davidson clear coat or powder coat the rear wheel of the douce and other models
You cant get caught in the rain or the wheel starts oxidizing imedaitly , It's awful, When I purchased mine in 07, I removed the rear wheel , polished it and clear coated it with Imron. I know they offer it in chrome at the cost of 1100.00 with labor, but most people don't realize that the original wheel is going to age 10 times faster than the rest of the bike . Ive seen them after a year, and it's a real EYESORE. What was Harley thinking when they pulled this BONNER! Car manufacturers have been clear coating wheels for years. Harley please buy a ticket to the game and clear coat your aluminum wheels . Chip
Have any of you Deuce guys with the Heartland kit tried the passenger sissy bar or the Ride and pack ? Man they are pricey. Trying to find a better way to pack for a trip.

I know a couple guys with the passenger seat and sissy bar that really like it for trips since you can find bags that will attach right to it, but I agree the price tag is a bit high. So far I've just been using a suction pad from Phantom and wearing a backpack that I let sit on it to take some of the weight off my shoulders. Not too comfortable though. Plan on getting the slotted struts and passenger seat someday, when I can budget for it.
