Default Easy to ride it hard and fast

I like track bikes and drag bikes. I also require a bike that is not tiring to hold up for ten hours in the saddle. I have been riding big Harleys since the early 60s and built lots of em.

When Harley came out with the Deuce I dug the chrome motor and the overall layout and thought it wouldn't take much to have a really great mostly factory bike with one of them. That had appeal as I would rather ride at this stage rather than build another bike from the ground up.

The Deuce felt weird when I first rode it due to the pullback risers and the uncomfortable handlebars. The pegs had my six foot tall legs cramped up and hitting my chin. The seat was a joke.

No problem. I ditched the pullbacks and finally went with a set of one inch Triumph T100 bars, cut narrow, three inch foot control extensions and a Harley Sundowner saddle. I put in three degree rake cups and four inch over fork tubes to give it a vaguely drag bike stance and improve the high speed stability mucho (an old drag racing trick). She take corners as fast as most sport bikes and really shocks the heck out of them boys, haha.

Who says you can't have good looks and not be another dumb blonde...I mean dumb bike? The Deuce is by far the best rider I have ever sat on. She can drag, corner and flat out ride all day like a dream come true.

Hmmm. Now what the heck bike can I build that will be more interesting than my current driver? Hmmm. I DID see an obscene 160 cubic inch drag monster on Utube. It was hitting such powerful rumble notes the hair was standing up on my neck. Maybe just one more custom and I will shake the urge. Hahaha.

Meanwhile, hello all my Deuce brothers. Ain't we like a bunch of happy pigs in s**t? Haw haw...

I have drag bars from Wild1, they have a 6 inch rise and I used the stock cables. Before I changed my rear fender I had the Harley brawler solo seat on mine, and used a fender bib from Mustang to cover the holes. Harley used to make a color matched hard cover for the holes, if you really search around you may be able to find one.
