You can't tell in the picture, but it now has the limited edition white pearl tank set that was available in 2003. I bought another set of 100th anniversary emblems to cover the boring Generic HD logo that came on on the white paint set. I also installed a DNA 18x5.5 60 spoke rear wheel with a Avon 180 tire.
I love this bike! I had a SG, and sold it because I don't take the long trips like I used to now that I have a family. When I bought this deuce, what it is now, is exactly what I was picturing in my mind. I saw the White Flame paint set on a deuce in sturgis and I loved the look. I was fortunate enough to find a set on ebay, that were in great shape, and the seller was a hell of a nice guy. I still have a few more things to do to it, but I have made a lot of progress with the little free time I do have.
Welcome to the forum. Glad we're getting more Deuce riders in our section. The bikes are looking good!
Thanks Magil, The Deuce is my second softail and a sweet ride. Little different riding characteristics than my Road King . Front end feels heavy with the narrow bars and feels like it wants to flop when turning slow. Nothing of a big deal, just noticeably different.
