I tried a Deuce with the fork brace and did not notice
any difference. Where I did notice a big difference is when
I changed the stock fork oil to the Screaming Eagle heavy
oil. It stiffined up the rebound on the front end and in return
makes it much more responsive. And it's alot cheaper than
a fork brace...

Fellow Deuce owners,
Have any of you guys added a fork brace to your Deuce? Does it help any or is it just bling? I've been thinking about working on my suspension some with a Race Tech Caddies fork kit, some new Metzler ME880's and maybe a SE fork brace.
Still dialing it in, we all know it's a never ending process. However it is, to me at least, a form of therapy, a bit expensive but hey, it works for me.
As for the spokes, I knew when I purchased it, what I was in for. What I do is every year before I take it out for the beginning of the riding season I take it off and polish it up real good with chrome polish and just admire how good it looks, and that justifies the hard work and effort. Same thing at the end of the season. During the riding season just spray S100 on it and wipe it down. If you noticed, I only have a front spoke, the rear is not, now that would be a B!TCH.
PS: I voted for both Deuces (duh) for bike of the year.
Hey Voodoo - you've got a very nice small windshield on your bike. It follows the lines so well and the hardware is so minimal that I hardly noticed it - just what I'm looking for. Does it block the wind (I'm 6'1") well and who's is it? Is it removable? Does hardware stay behind?
13 Thanks for your vote my friend - unfortunately looks like Crazy and I both got outgunned - appreciate all that voted for both of us - I am proud to say that I nominated Crazy for BOTM - he definitely deserved his WIN, got one "CRAZY" Deuce.
9-11 The windshield is a Windvest 14" - I like the way it compliments the lines of the Deuce - I am 6'4" and while I admit it does not turn the Deuce into a Bagger, it definitely makes a difference. As for the hardware, it uses two clamps (two allen screws each) around the T-Bar/Risers - very simple to remove if you desire, I can have the entire windshield and hardware off the bike in 2 minutes - I use Teflon tape under the clamps so there is no fear of causing a mark where the hardware connects.
