Here are some pictures of her with the new custom bars and the powder-coated engine guard. I like the extra black, do you? The only "major" change I am going to make (yea, right) is that I am going back to black walls when a tire needs changing. I have become convinced that black walls fit this bike better than the wide whites.
Also, if anybody wants to buy a set of Wild 1 Chubby 9.5" Springer Apes, pm me with a reasonable offer.
Those bars look nice!!! you say they are custom. Is that part of a manufactures name or did you have them custom made? I like and want the smaller looking V tward the bottom and those have exactley the look I want but might be just a little tall I don't know. I'm about 6'2" and was wondering how tall you are as you look proportional to the hight of the bars in your pic. I see you changed you bars after you posted this picture because I went through all the springer pages to get images but didn't read every single reply. Any info you tell me will be apreciated. Jim
Oh.......... and here is my springer for the Topic.
Rocky Timm at Timm's H-D in Anderson, SC had two sets made by a local machinist. He used one set and I bought the other. Unfortunately, an old shoulder injury reared its ugly head and I could no longer ride for more than about 15-20 minutes with my right arm raised so I had to go back to a low bar. I sold them to a guy locally.
