Default My Custom Harley Springer

What do you guys think of my Springer? I designed and did all the work myself, for the most part. Check out how I was able to find, buy and customize this bike using the Internet...

Why do I say it's my FIRST Springer???? When $$$ allows, I'll have a late '90's Heritage Springer in the white with red trim. That is my favorite Springer of all time.
I'm late to this party, but here's the pics of mine.
Wow, just found this, my old post in this thread from 05/14/11 where I posted pics of my newly acquired '05 Springer and vowed to own a late '90's white/red Springer. Guess what I bought last month?
1997 Springer Birch White and Red with just 1,240 miles on her !!! Mint !!!

Wow, what a great looking bike!

Where did you find this extremely low mile bike at? Curious if it was in a museum or did you find it on CL, eBay, etc.?

That is also one of my all time favorite HD's ever made too.

Looking forward to more pics of this one!

Found it on CL. A 74 year old man bought it, ( he's 74 now, not then ) rode it home and before he ever got on it again he broke his foot and never recovered enough to hold the weight of the bike, so a friend of his would come ride it once in awhile to keep the fluids moving thru it. I was afraid of the miles being so low that the bike would have problems. Not a single problem. Had 1,240 miles on it when I got it about a month ago, now at 1,700+ on it and it runs as new. It was on my bucket list the last 7 years and I wasn't even looking for another bike when I saw the listing for it for sale. I thought the miles was a misprint plus I was looking to replace a boat I just sold that day !!! Waited a day to call and inquire about it, but when the guy gave me the story and verified the low miles, I had to go buy it. Drove 3 hours away, put it in the trailer, drove home, stopped and got it inspected ( required here in NC ) and straight to the title office with inspection and title in hand from previous owner. Went home, unloaded it and stared at it awhile. Jumped on it, rode it, came home and started polishing.
Next morning, went to start it, dead battery, of course. Jumped in the truck and drove to the HD dealership and bought a new battery, perfect since. And I don't consider a dead battery a problem. Couldn't care less about the $$$ that cost.
Springers aren't every ones choice of bike. Matter of fact, we're a select few. But from the first time I saw a '97 Old Boy in white/red, I wanted one. It was the best looking Harley I'd ever seen. Just pure class and as retro as can be !!!
Sweet sweet ride !!!
Ride safe !
