Thanks... though I almost wrecked in my first turn in the parking lot. I had absolutely no idea how easy that thing would turn... caught me by surprise then my inner-turn foot slips off the damn floorboard that they made look all pretty via Armor All. Close one. All that's behind me now and each mile just feels even better.

Gotta agree with ya there Storm, I never considered getting rid of my Triumph until I saw the Springer Classic. Get compliments on mine everyplace I go.
When I bought the bike 4 weeks ago, the Service manager told me I needed to bring the bike in at 500 miles to get the springs checked. No charge, just a check to make sure everything looked good on them. Cool. I now have 500 + miles on the bike and called to set up a time to bring the bike in for the check. NOW they tell me H-D has changed that and it's now part of the 1,000 mile service. Heck, man I skipped a few days riding because I knew I wouldn't be able to get the bike to the dealer before this week. Has anyone else run into this? Should I push for the 500 mile check?? Or is it fine to go to 1,000 before the check?

Exact same thing happened to me. I was worried about it but on the dealers word I waited until the 1000 mile mark before I took it in. So far no problems (1500+ miles.) I think my biggest concern was that if I didn't have it in on the 500 mile mark (like it says in the owners manual) it would affect, or even void, the warranty. I've heard some horror stories about the dreaded "warranty issues" and I want to avoid 'em at all costs.
