Nah, just did them like stock. I also put my old FLSTS rigid mount windshield on it. Just did fit (the top of the windshield brackets make hard contact with the bottom of the headlight bracket but it didn't push the headlight out of alignment.)
The black engine guard looks major retro, and I won't ride without one (saved my leg once.)
Really nice Trauma.. As I posted before, I bought my bike used, and the previous owner added all kinds of skull themed accesories, I have a buddy who has a Heritage Classic (not Heritage Springer) and he started buying skull stuff for his bike. He says he'll buy the skull stuff that I have on the Springer... I think I'm gonna go for it
where can I get the fender strut bolts. I like the looks of the springer without the saddlebags, but when I take them off, the two mounting holes look really nasty without a bolt, the existing bolts are way too long (backrest mounts) and they'll stick out too far so I need to buy some shorter ones, the stock ones per say, does anybody know where to get these?

Go to the harley dealer nearest you and tell him you want the 4 stock bolts for the rear fender struts in chrome, they will probably run you about 12-18bucks if you have the hardware for the detatchable backrest then all you need is the chrome docking hardware covers ( magnetic and very strong!) That should solve your problem very easily.
Scorp58, I had the sameissue with wanting to run without the bags occaisionally. I installed Bubba's quick release saddlebag systemhttp://www.bubbasbrake.com/xcart/pro...251&page=2and it took works great. It also fits all of the HD quick release parts (backrest, solo rack).
How do you like the way the V&H fishtails sound? I was running Samson fishtailson the '97 and they were nice, but a buddy of mine has a Road King with the V&H mufflers (billet cap, not the fishtails) and they sound great.

I have the luggage rack that fits over the rear fender with docking hardware - will that part for me, if you know? ('07 Springer Classic, H-D bags)
