sweet sled. any modifications or work go into swaping to the Wide Glide front rim?
Thanks!
Some light mods had to be done. The space between the wheel bearings are about 0,2 mm wider on the FXDWG hub compared to the OEM FLSTSB hub. Enough to make the wheel bearings jam when the axle nut was tightened. I used the original X-Bones spacer and added a couple of chims between the spacer and bearings to solve the problem. The FXDWG rim is a bit offset so I had to adjust the spokes to center the rim between the forks.
Very nice its a modern day bad boy and that flake is amazing
Yep, I really liked the Bad Boy when it first came, all blacked out with scallops and everything. I think the 21" balances the 17" rear wheel.. IMO the original 16" front wheel looks awkward and out of tune with the 17" rear.
