Trip to Rockies
Starting from Louisiana, Baton Rouge area.
I plan this trip for next summer. I lost my buddy, going alone is an option, but I'd rather have company. Anyone in Louisiana/Texas/Arkansas/Mississippi interested in joining?
Regarding trip itself I'm very flexible. It could be only Rockies and back or we can also visit Yellowstone. We can ride 700 miles a day on interstate or we can do less on local highways. I personally do not enjoy riding more then 600 miles a day. We can stay in motels or we can tent. I'd say the best time is July, otherwise there is too cold up in the mountains. But this can be discussed, too.

So far no-one is interested.
I was watching a movie the other day. Settlers moving across America to the Oregon. No highways, no railroads, no bridges over rivers, no tunnels through mountains. 3,000 miles to go, wagon train. There were days they were lucky to advance 10 miles.
Nowadays one can do 10 miles in less than 10 minutes easy. Is traveling on the interstate too easy to feel the sense of adventure?
My bike in touring trim.
