I like to sit and people watch and it usually gets crazy down there.
+1 on people watching. [sm=popcorn.gif]
Gotta sit at the Red Rooster for great people watching. There's a big porch facing business 17 that has stools and a deck andCOLD adult beverages.
Last spring, we sat outside at a bar called The beach house, The beach hut, the beach something.... It was more fun just watching some of the crazy shiet than riding 5 feet and stopping, riding 5 feet and stopping. It's almost not worth taking the bikes down there and go just to hang out.
Of course, what would that make us? It's bad enough sometimes we have to trailer our bikes but can you imagine going to bike week without a bike? LOL.
I'd have to get a bumper sticker made up "I voyeured at bike week"
ORIGINAL: Heavy MetalMark never mentioned that problem.
Are you ****** high?? That woman carries moreclothes for a 3 day weekend than Iwear the entire year.
Hell, we left to Hawaii with 4 suitcases... we had to buy 4 MORE to bring all her crap back.
Last time we went to Myrtle Beach, she took 8 pairs of shoes for 3 days.....geesh.
A bagger is looking better and better....
That was one of the first and last thing u said to me at the m&g when u were looking for those trash bags .I know all about the luggage & shoe thing all to well, what's up with that anyway?
We will be staying at garden city, about a mile south of the pier.
When ya'll get there, we all will get together for some people watching and some [sm=icon_cheers.gif].Just think, If Tbone is there, he might buy us a beer .
Tbone buying beers............yeah right.........I had to show him some skin just to get him to hand me a napkin. Of course it was only my elbows but....you get the point.
Ok I say we vote on it.
Who thinks tbone needs to buy the first round ???
Couple of us on Kings riding from Columbus, OH on Thursday morning, Oct. 4th. Staying at Coral Beach Resort. Looked like a winner to us. One of our buddies is currently going to be riding up solo from Tampa, FL on a Nightster. If anyone wants to roll with us from Columbus, or if you are rolling up from the deep southand could meeta guy from Tampa,PM me.
This will be our first long azz trip for all of us. 600 miles. My azz will be prepared with any and all remedies suggested to prevent the burn. But the key thing to remember is that I can allow the pain to set in only, and only after I get home and am back in the cattle corale cubicle..........
CRAP..........I just saw this in our confirmation:
"The Coral Beach Resort is a resort catering only to families and couples"
This my friends may be a problem. Now I'm looking for suggestions. Want to stay in a nice place that we can be in the action. Doesn't have to be the Ritz, but don't really want to have the Super 8. Should we keep the Coral Beach, or go somewhere else. Want BAR within crawling distance.
OK, the hubby and I are planning on going! My mom and her boyfriend offered to keep the kids for us (since they're out of school on a break then). This is going to be the first vacation we've ever had without them...more than a weekend anyway!
I've made our reservations, and we're staying at the Cabana Shores Hotel for $39 a night. WOO HOO...can't beat that! Now I just have to make sure the hubby gets his leave request in.
I'd love to meet some of you down there. We're going down on Tuesday and staying through Sunday. We'll be riding from Hope Mills, which is near Fayetteville.
We are looking into making reservations for the weekend. I see Tankerwyf is staying at cabana shores. I will post where we are staying once we get the rooms booked.
