We're staying at the Sea Mist Tuesday through Friday leaving out that Saturday morning. If anyone plans a get together we are in. We'll have four or five others with us. Let me know and I'll PM any of you my cell phone number.
I guess a better question is if you have made your reservations recently, did you find any hotels that are booked full. may save some of us late bloomers some time if we know who has rooms.
Mark and I are going down to MB this weekend and I was thinking of seeing if we could find a hotel right on Ocean Blvd. that can block off a couple of rooms for us all if anyone is interested or maybe even have a meeting room we could use as a meet and greet. From my understanding you can park right on the street during the fall rally which usually ends up the place to seesome reallycool bikes while doing some people....or shouldI saycrazy people watching. ( Or for you men....a place to hand out beads)

If you find a hotel with several rooms it would be great to stay around someone we know. I will take one of the rooms if find such a place. Let me know where and how much and I will make the call to the hotel to book the room.
When I made my reservations, I didn't notice any of the places I checked being booked solid. In fact, all the places I checked did still have vacancies.
Amy, the Cabana Shores is on Ocean Blvd. And I think the prices are great. I'm not sure whether you'd be able to get a group discount with the rates already being so low, and I'm not sure about meeting space (I'll check the website). It might be worth checking into when you guys go down there, though.
And about a meet & greet, I'll also PM my cell phone number, so I can meet up with some of you if possible!
I'm so excited about this trip! The week of the rally actually is right before my birthday. I told the hubby this is a great birthday present!

I will certainly check that out since you got such an awesome price and for it to be on the main drag as well. Do you have a link to their website??
I'm not sure whether it will fit the needs of the group or not, but worth checking. I checked the TripAdvisor website, and the reviews are kind of mixed (but seem to be mostly positive), but I figure that's all subjective anyhow.
That's not a bad little place at all. If you don't like the crowds and like to be able to get in and out that is the place. I did see one problem.....it's in the Cabana Area which is a residential area. I wonder if it's biker friendly ??? Or should I say.....HDF friendly. We will certainly check it out this weekend though to see if it's a place that like someone else mentioned.....within crawling distance.
Yeah, I thought about that - the residential area thing that is. Let me know what you find out when you guys go down there. I figure if worse comes to worse, I can change the reservations and just be out a part of the deposit. I just didn't want to lose out on that rate. And, yeah, I'm all about the "within crawling distance" thing myself. I'm still looking around. This will be my first trip to Myrtle Beach for a rally, so not quite sure exactly what to expect.
